At Reducio, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our macOS application.
Our Core Principle
Your files never leave your device. Reducio processes all files locally on your Mac. We do not upload, store, transmit, or have access to any files you process using our application.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Your files, images, PDFs, videos, or audio files
- The content of any files you process
- Personal information such as your name, email, or address
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Location data
Information Handled by Apple
When you purchase a subscription or make an in-app purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple may collect certain information as described in their Privacy Policy.
Local Data Storage
Reducio may store the following information locally on your device:
- Preferences: Your app settings (theme, output location preferences)
- Saved Signatures: Signatures you create for PDF signing are stored locally
- Security-Scoped Bookmarks: References to folders you've granted access to
This data is stored only on your Mac and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
App Store Requirements
As a macOS application distributed through the App Store, Reducio operates within Apple's sandbox environment. This means:
- The app can only access files you explicitly grant permission to
- The app cannot access files outside its sandbox without your consent
- All processing happens locally within the sandboxed environment
Third-Party Services
Reducio does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service interaction is with Apple's StoreKit for purchase verification.
Data Security
Since all processing occurs locally on your device, your files are protected by your Mac's built-in security features, including:
- macOS file system encryption (FileVault)
- App Sandbox isolation
- Gatekeeper verification
Children's Privacy
Reducio does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app processes files locally without any data collection.
